I like trying to make my food look pretty, I don’t always succeed but when I do it looks something like this:

Its very simple, it just looks fancy, trust me ;)

What you need:
Italian Bread
Butter
Salami
Your favourite mild cheese (I used Muenster)
Oregano
Tomatoes
Garlic olive oil

How I did it:
I spread butter on both slices of bread (for moisture and for ingredients to stick) and put two slices of cheese on one bread slice. On top of the cheese I put two-three slices of the salami. Cut up about half a tomato for the sandwich and put those slices on top of the salami and top it all off with some oregano. Put the sandwich together and have a frying pan ready on low/medium heat. Sprinkle some garlic olive oil in the pan, it matches this so well! And let fry for a few minutes on each side, either until the cheese melts or until the bread is the beautiful brown colour you want it :)

Fast & easy! And very, very tasty. You could probably replace the oregano with basil for more flavour and even switch the cheese for a good mozzarella and maybe even some sun dried tomatoes to make it more Italian style.

I didn’t know about grilled cheese sandwiches until I came to America and now that I do I added my own twist to them, enjoy :)

Today we had friends over so made a three person dinner. But only one dish, of course. Although there were delicious cookies from the other day for snacks afterwards ^^

I boiled some basil & spinach pasta. Poured it into one of those things to drain out the water (I don’t know what they are called ) Poured back all the pasta into a mixing bowl and threw down two tablespoons full of pesto. Mixed it around until all of the pasta was covered in pesto and then serve.

Half the plate was the pesto pasta, and the other half was just arugula topped off with some tomatoes, mozzarella, salt and pepper and last some olive oil! Also ate it with a piece of bread. Personally I think that every meal should go with a piece of bread. But that’s just me.

Unfortunately the picture doesn’t do this course its justice, its too green and brown or whatever colours I’m seeing. It just looks like one big mix. Maybe I should have used regular or tomato pasta.
